Lynn Neufeld, Chief Analyst & Problem Solver
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for helping people. Maybe it’s because I was raised by loving parents who taught me the value of compassion, accountability, and respect. They were always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. I was definitely blessed.
Having worked in the legal field as a 911 dispatcher, a paralegal, and an outreach coordinator, I have witnessed people going through difficult stages of life. Time and time again, under the weight of life’s burdens, many found themselves temporarily overwhelmed.
Moving through life’s stages brings with it emotional and physical challenges. Often, we know the time is right to move, create change, or step forward into the next stage; however, when faced with the physical and emotional realities of this change, we may become overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty and as a result, we don’t move forward.
In times of personal transition, regardless of whether it is chosen or forced upon us, it helps to involve someone you can trust who is not emotionally connected to the situation. I have personally witnessed the power this has to move people forward. This is why Age & Stage was created.
By supporting individuals in transition, my hope is they will be able to move confidently and successfully toward a brighter tomorrow. I believe communities thrive when individuals successfully transition between life’s ages and stages.
I’ve heard it said that certain ages and stages of life are difficult. Personally, I believe it is the transition between the seasons that presents the greatest challenge. Most often, the destination itself turns out OK, we just have to make “getting there” more enjoyable.
